About

Built to make noise
for Philly wrestling.

Philly Wrestling exists to create excitement around the sport in and around the city of Philadelphia — the news, the programs, the athletes, and the people who keep the things moving and growing.

The community here is thriving. A world-class regional training center, Division 1 rooms, packed youth clubs, and a network of wrestling alumni who never really left the sport. Our job is simple: tell the stories and point you to the mat nearest you.

Behind the mic

Philly Wrestling is the work of Kevin McGuigan, a former high school and college wrestler and a lifelong coach. A walk-on at an NCAA Division 1 program who will tell you he was a better coach than athlete, Kevin has coached at the Pennsylvania and New Jersey state championships, at NCAA Division 1 championships, and at the US Olympic Team Trials, with stops at the Dave Schultz, Sunkist Kids, and Patriot wrestling clubs along the way.
