About Me

Kevin McGuigan – Former high school and college wrestler/coach

Wrestling has been a part of my life since I was young. I competed from youth through college. I was an above average high school wrestler who walked on to a NCAA Division 1 program. I was a much better coach than athlete. At the high school level, I’ve coached at the Pennsylvania and New Jersey High School State Championships. At the college level, I’ve coached at several NCAA Division 1 Championships. At the Senior Level, I’ve coached at the US Olympic Team Trials. I’ve coached with the Dave Schultz Wrestling Club and the Sunkist Kids Wrestling Club. I helped create Patriot Wrestling Club in New Jersey. I’ve always been a big fan of the greatest sport on earth. I’m thankful for my experiences at Upper Darby High School, Shippensburg University, George Mason University, University of Pennsylvania, and Washington Township High School. I’m excited about the wrestling community in and around Philadelphia. My mission is to share that excitement and to highlight the local programs that are unique to our city.
